Healthy Diet Plans

One of the most important things you have to understand about healthy eating is that it's more than the food on your plate. You have to start realizing how you think about food. You should begin thinking about food as nourishment as opposed to something you gobble up.

Another thing to consider is eating with others. Even though it doesn't sound like much, this habit constitutes several social and emotional benefits. This is especially true for kids, because you can model healthy eating habits. Eating at the dinner table as opposed to being in front of a television will keep them from mindless overeating.

It's also important to chew your food instead of swallowing it whole. Take your time because I promise you that the food isn't going anywhere. The slower you eat and savor each bit, the easier it will be for the body to digest it accordingly.

Make sure you listen to your body as well. Are you really hungry or are you bored and just feel the need to do something? When you feel this way just grab a glass of water and see if you're thirsty. You can also stop eating before you actually feel full. It's important to remember that your brain is a little delayed when it tells the body it's had enough, so eat slower.

We also recommend eating a healthy breakfast and smaller meals throughout the day. Those who have healthy breakfasts can enjoy a nice boost in their metabolism. Plus, when you mix this in with the smaller meals throughout the day it keeps your energy up and your metabolism burning.

Don't forget to grab some fruits and veggies throughout the day. The brighter they are the better off your nutrients will be. Then of course you have to consider that fruits and vegetables are really the foundation of your healthy diet. Why? Well, they are low in calories and have a plethora of nutrients. We recommend that you add these in to every meal and whenever a snack craving comes grab one or the other. They can help protect against various cancers and other diseases.

The fruits and vegetables that are darker in color have higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. What it comes down to is it's important to know what colors offer what benefits. Here is a little information to help you:

Greens: When you eat lettuce, spinach, asparagus, green beans, or any other greens, they're packed with all kinds of vitamins and minerals. Whether its calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, or vitamins A, C, E, and K, each one of them strengthen your blood and respiratory systems. The more adventurous you are with your greens, the more apt you are to eating them.

Sweet Vegetables: Don't be afraid to add corn, carrots, beets, yams, winter squash or even onions. Just by adding these to your meals can reduce your craving for sweets.

Fruit: When you eat plenty of fruit you get tons of fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. Take for instance various berries that help fight cancer, oranges and mangos are great for vitamin C, etc., etc.

You should also eat healthier carbs and whole grains. This gives you much more energy throughout the day. They also have phytochemicals and antioxidants that help to protect you against coronary heart disease, various cancers, and even diabetes. Over the years studies have shown that having a good amount of whole grains provide for a healthier heart.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
What are good healthy diet plans for men?
Does anyone know of any good healthy diet plans for men. A healthy diet plan that is not boring and has many varieties of food.

    • ANSWER:
First thing you need to understand about your diet is too much sugar in your blood will make you fat no matter what diet you are on or how much you work out. Too many ketones in your blood will prevent you from using the sugar in your blood as energy. Too few ketones in your blood will cause you to burn your blood glucose off too fast. So you need to eat small portions of carbs and protein about every 3 hours.
Another thing to know is that trans fat, hydrogenated oil and polyunsaturated fat causes type 2 diabetes. To raise your metabolism stop eating ANYTHING that has these in them. Polyunsaturated fat is ok in small quantities now and them. Also Cholesterol is a key thing. Bad cholesterol is high in red meats, dark meats, pork and even turkey and chicken breast. These types of cholesterol get inside the cell and clog it up. This prevents the cell from being able to accept sugar and burn it off. Where as the trans fats and hydrogenated oils form plaque on top of the cell wall and prevents insulin from being to stick to the cell therefore preventing sugar from being absorbed by the cell. These are the things that lower your metabolism rate as you get older and lead to heart disease and diabetes. To avoid this simply avoid these fats and cholesterols.
Any modified food starch, flour, enriched flour, corn starch, potato starch, high fructose syrups etc. all will raise your blood sugar levels higher and faster than pure sugar will. So watch out for things that say "lite" and "sugar free" and "diet". Many of these things use these to elevate your blood sugars and keep you addicted by tricking you into thinking they are better for you than stuff with sugar in it. That is not to say that sugar is good for you but it is better for you than modified food starch for sure.
You will want to eat 2 green apples a day. The high level of soluble fiber and high level of pectin in them help slow the uptake of sugar into your blood stream. Also lots of green leafy vegetables will provide you with nutrients you need while slowing your sugar uptake. Never eat a carb without eating a protein with it. Never eat any carb that is a simple carb or has a hi glycemic index i.e. corn, potatoes, bread.
Bread is ok if you get 100% whole grain with no additives or preservatives. In fact, this is a necessity. Real peanut butter with no trans fat and no additives is an awesome complex carb. Pecans are magical on blood sugar levels. Eat a handful and if your blood sugar is too high they will lower it. If it is too low they will raise it. And pecans will sustain your blood sugar levels for hours.
You want to have a 3:1 ratio of omega 3 fatty acids to omega 6 fatty acids. So fish without lots of mercury and olive oil for cooking is a must. Flax seeds are also good.
Taking about 10mg of a supplement called MDM, vitamin c, calcium, vitamin D and b12 are all great for making the cell walls more elastic which will raise your metabolism, help rid your body of plaque, and lessen your need for insulin. Another great trick is using about a half table spoon of cinnamon per day. Cinnamon actually has a chemical in it that acts like insulin and reduces the risk of diabetes and speeds up your metabolism.
You want to eat red meat at least once a week and at most a few times a week. Chicken is something to eat at least a few times a week but not more than once a day. Cod, Tilapia and Salmon are the meats of necessity.
Oatmeal is good for slowing the digestive process also, but it also burns off fast into sugar and spikes the blood sugar good. So it is important to not eat more than half a serving at a time and eat it with pecans and protein. Preferably egg whites cooked in olive oil with salsa or fresh veggies.
Greek yogurt is awesome for digestion and low in sugars. SILK is an awesome source of protein and carbs verses high sugar milk (11gm per serving = 1cup, not glass).
Make sure you watch all your pre mixed cooking spices. Most of them have modified food starch.
Beans are a great complex carb. If you are going to eat a potato try to limit to half of a red potato tops before working out. Not all fruits are good. green apples, grapefruit are awesome. Oranges are borderline and most other fruits are high in fructose. Avoid granny smith apples though. Those are horrible on the glycemic index. Broccoli is a must.

  2. QUESTION:
A parent seeking help with healthy diet plans for kids?
I have 2 girls that need to lose weight. The biggest problem is finding good healthy diet plans for kids. I need a great site that has good tasting healthy diet plans for kids.

    • ANSWER:
I think that getting kids on a "diet" per se can be harmful...they don't need to be forced into a rigid model of eating and thinking about food as "good" or "bad" while they are children. This can lead to eating disordered behavior as adults, to guilt and distorted body images. Make only healthy foods available in your household. No sodas, candies, cookies, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and do not take them out to fast food places or give them money to go to these places. They will lose weight if they do not consume these foods and start getting more active--signing up for soccer, tennis, etc. Bringing them to a nutritionist is definitely preferable to bringing them to a diet center.

    • ANSWER:
Its almost impossible to lose 15 lbs in 2 weeks. I am sorry to say that but it is true. Your body when losing weight for the first week may be a huge drop because you are losing water weight initially not fat. Eat a lot of greens, spinach, collard, cabbage things of that nature they will fill you up without the calories and stick to only lean meats and fish like chicken no skin and white meat only.

  11. QUESTION:
Healthy Weight Loss Diet Plans For Seniors?
I am helping my mom with her diet, but she is worried that many diets are just not going to be healthy for her. Does anyone know of a diet plan that includes daily meal plans that she can start on that is both healthy and not just a fad?

    • ANSWER:
Many people struggle hard to reduce their weights. Right now, there a lot of programs created to help such people in their respective weight loss endeavor. And to help them fully, here are some important weight loss tips beginners should follow to make sure their chosen program work for them flawlessly:

      1. Make sure that you reduce the quantity of your food.
In order to lose weight, you have to watch your meal servings. And it won't matter if you're at home or dining out. But you have to be most especially watchful when eating inside restaurants. You might order big chunks of meat because of the juicy ad you see in the menu. The rule of thumb is this: eat just enough to address your hunger. Never stuff yourself with food.

      2. Exercise is key.
Exercise causes the body to burn fats. And no diet works without the help of a good exercise regime. All weight loss tips appearing in health magazines and over the internet will tell you that regular exercise could help you a lot in reducing your body mass index. A handful of people can't be wrong. So don’t skip an exercise routine at the gym.

  12. QUESTION:
What healthy diet plan (not pills) have you had the most success with?
What diet plan have you had the most success with? Weight Watchers, The Biggest Loser diet, etc, plain old healthy eating in moderation, etc?

What worked the best for you, and why?

    • ANSWER:
Diets don't work they are to hard to stick to. IF you truly want to lose weight and keep it off for good there are a few things you have to do. Portion control, eat what a TRUE serving is!!!! Eat about six small meals instead of three large ones, Eat more fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Cut down on your protein we as Americans eat more than our bodies truly need any way. And exercise even if you just add 15 minutes a day walking into your day you will start to lose weight, if you do all of the other things also. You don't have to stop eating what you like, You just have to eat it in the correct portions rather than what we've gotten used to. IF you do this you will lose weight, maybe not as fast as you would like but you will lose weight and you will keep it off. The faster that you lose weight usually the faster that you gain it back again. We need to eat more like our parents did and less like the media would want us to.

  13. QUESTION:
A healthy diet plan for someone who is pregnant?
Don't take "diet" here out of context, because I am in no way suggesting a diet that will help me lose weight. I gained quite a bit of weight with my first one 70lbs to be exact. I have lost all of it but 10 pounds, but I do not want to gain that much the second go around. I just want to make sure I am eating healthier for my baby and me... Any sites, books, or suggestions on meal plans?

How many calories should you intake while pregnant?

    Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
While you are pregnant, you will need additional nutrients to keep you and your baby healthy. But, that does not mean you need to eat twice as much. You should only eat an extra 300 calories per day. A baked potato has 120 calories. So getting these extra 300 calories doesn't take a lot of food.

The ADA recommends that pregnant women eat a total of 2,500 to 2,700 calories every day. These calories should come from a variety of healthy foods.

Can you help me find a healthy diet plan?
So I have been eating so unhealthy lately! And I don't like it cause it has made me gain weight! But every time I try to stick to a new healthy eating plan, I always give up after like 2 days! Can you help me stick to a diet plan cause track is coming up and I want to eat better. So what do you think I should do? Please help!

Btw I am 13 and I don't want to go on like weight watchers, I just want to have better eating habits!

I guess it depends why you find it difficult to stick to a diet plan. Do you get hungry. Do you get bored so you start eating? Do you still have unhealthy food in the house? Do you have cravings for cakes, and cookies!?

It's all down to you. Remove all temptations and change your lifestyle. Don't view it as a diet, but a change that you are going to eat healthily from now on. It's not so hard. Search out exotic fruits!! Eat lean meat, lots of fish to choose from, fresh veg, fresh nuts etc

      Best Wishes

I need to lose 50-60 pounds, I'm trying to figure out what exactly would be a healthy diet plan. I've looked into different programs and now I just want to see what worked for everybody else.

I've started a exercise program, now I'm trying to get on the healthy eating diet portion of it. Can anybody give me suggestions? Maybe programs that worked, or types of foods to stick with and stay away from...

    • ANSWER:
Unfortunately, anyone who accumulates over 30# of excess fat is more than likely insulin resistant. Long term ingestion of highly refined carbs "burn out" the insulin receptors on muscle cells, so calories go directly to fat cells, leaving muscle cells screaming for nutrition. Exercise forces muscles to accept glucose out of the bloodstream without the need for insulin.

Most people get obese because their bodies just can't process carbs any more. They become insulin resistant & carbs go straight to fat cells. As healthy as fruit may be, it just doesn't promote fat loss. The body won't release fat stores until the blood stream is free of insulin. In someone insulin resistant, the insulin response is too sensitive & produces too much insulin.

Simple carbs are addictive & can be disastrous to health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs, eat one every time you want "something" - have huge omelets with bacon, sausage, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops smothered with peppers, mushrooms & cheese - pork rinds & dip or tuna/chicken/turkey/egg salad - steaks - a huge sugar free cheese cake. Eat so much you won't feel deprived of anything. By the 4th day, the addiction will be gone & the low carb way of eating will create a natural appetite suppression that makes it much easier to make healthy choices.

You can lose more body fat eating protein & fat (don't eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast, eat all you want, but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter & half an avocado a day (for added potassium). Keep the calories high & the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.

The first 2 weeks eat several cups a day of (mostly) lettuce & celery, cucumbers, radishes, mushrooms, peppers & more variety of vegetables thereafter - add 5 grams per day additional every week (20 grams day first 2 weeks, 25grams 3rd week, 30grams 4th week etc) til you gain weight, then subtract 10grams. That will be your personal carb level (everyone is different & depends on how active you are.)

Start with meat, fats & salads for 2 weeks and then slowly add in more green veg, wk4 fresh cheeses, wk5 nuts & seeds, wk6 berries, wk7 legumes, wk8 other fruits, wk9 starchy veg, wk10 whole grains. You will learn how your body reacts to different foods.

The first week is just water weight but fat is lost thereafter if you keep your calories high enough. Otherwise the body will strip it's own lean tissue for nutrition. Although that may look great on a scale it will make it MUCH easier to accumulate fat in the future (since all that pesky lean tissue burning up calories will be gone). The body won't release fat stores if you lower calories below what it needs. It will slow metabolism to compensate & store every spare ounce as fat. If you continue lowering calories, it will continue lowering the set point, til it can survive off nothing & store fat on anything. The body will only release it's fat stores if it knows there is plenty of nutritious food.

Eating carbs while trying to lose body fat is terribly inefficient. When in glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) you have to lower your calories (which slows your metabolism) & exercise heavily to deplete your glycogen stores before burning body fat.

The core of Atkins program is converting the body from glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) to ketosis (burning fat as fuel). Dietary fat levels need to be at >65% of total calories, if not, the body will still remain in glycolysis by converting 58% of excess protein into glucose (via gluconeogenesis).

It takes minimum of 3 days to convert a body to ketosis, (but only one bite to convert back to glycolysis). People feel sluggish the first week but most feel better than ever thereafter.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) trigger insulin (the ONLY fat storage hormone). Protein triggers the fat burning hormone, glucagon.

High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger & unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle will be gained even without exercise.

Ground flax seed (4 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg - let sit 10 min. to absorb liquid, put cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 min. for daily fiber needs.

As long as you have <9grams carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control & shouldn't gain weight, no matter the calories because insulin, the fat storage hormone is not activated. Many people gain weight on high carb, do low carb to lose weight & then are shocked when they return to high carb & gain weight.

what is a complete healthy diet plan for a teen girl?
I am 19 and weigh 45 kgs. I don't have any healthy habit as i don't drink enough water and don't exercise. My eating habit is a disaster. I want to improve my lifestyle. So please HELP ME!! write me a complete healthy diet plan please.
thank u all of u. that was a great help! Can anyone be specific and say what should i have for my breakfast, lunch and dinner?

    • ANSWER:
OK, I'll try my best. Here goes!

Firstly you need fruit and veg. I'm sure you know about the five-a-day thing. If you struggle with this, try stuff like fruit salads, or drinks with 'one of your five a day' signs.

Next you need vitamins and minerals - you're a teenager so you need iron, multivitamins are good. I take them, they're a breeze.

Carbohydrates - make sure you eat a good amount of starchy food such as potato, pasta and bread... but not too much.

Dairy is another important food group - milk, cheese and yoghurts are an example. These will help give you more calcium for healthy teeth and bones.

For helping your body's recovery, protein is important. This is meat, eggs etc.

Finally, the easiest: fats. You should consume a small amount of fats and sugars every day, to give you energy.

      I hope this helps!

But what are some diet plans? Foods to eat? Foods to NOT eat? Foods to eat now and then?
Exercise plans? What can I do to lose a few pounds? Then what to do to tone up?

    • ANSWER:
A variety of veggies are always a good choice. I like to put a lot of fiber in my diet in the mornings and drink a lot of water to keep me regular.

Some of the foods you want to avoid have:
      -a lot of saturated fats
      -sodium
      -sugar

Also limit your white bread, rice, and pasta. Try for whole grain instead.

Lean meats such as chicken and turkey are great for protein. Nuts such as almonds and walnuts are good now and then.

I think as a general rule, do an activity for 30-60 minutes a day. It doesn't have to be at the gym. It could be a walk if you don't have time for working out, dancing, or any kind of activity where you are moving your body.

  27. QUESTION:

I weigh 185 and i'm 5'4 so yes I am overweight, my goal is 135. Please help!

    • ANSWER:
If you can say no to alcoholic beverages please do. Alcoholic beverages too are not good for you. Beer can be fattening and the rest of the alcoholic drinks may not be fattening by themselves but after a couple of swigs you will be in no position to watch your diet and your appetite too will be something to battle with.

    • ANSWER:
A food plan that is easy to follow without any expensive things to buy.

A food plan that lets me feel satified with every meal and not still starving.

A food plan that allows me the freedom to choose what I want to eat - within reason.

A food plan that doesn't cut out one or more food groups.

A food plan that gives good results on the scales and in inches.

A food plan that doesn't make me tired and leaves me with no energy and headaches.

  30. QUESTION:
What are some good, healthy Flextarian weekly diet plans?
FLEXTARIAN: Eats mainly vegetarian food but will eat animal meant occasionally for cultural, social and nutritional reasons.
There are lots of daily meat eaters that will not eat veal or fois gras from a purely ethnical stand point. So, I do not agree with those two types since it is torture on the animals but by definition, Yes.

    • ANSWER:
Flextarian: An omnivore who relies more on plants then animals for their diet.

Reducing your weekly intake in meat is great, both for your health and for the animals you don't eat. However it doesn't make you a vegetarian. You can't be a vegetarian part of the time anymore then you can be pregnant a few days a week and not others.

Words have meanings. Calling myself a vegetarian does not mean I am in any way better then anyone else, it's just a description of what I am, same as teacher is a description for one that educates others or firefighter is a description for one that puts out fires. I am a woman, a sister, a writer, an estimator, an anglophile, and a vegetarian - these are all words that describe me, and they all mean specific things. I am female therefore it would be wrong to call myself male, I am 30 therefore it would be strange to call myself a child. You eat meat therefore it makes no sense to call yourself a vegetarian. It's simply a fact.

Maybe it would help to look at the etymology of the word vegetarian. "Veg" comes from either the word vegetable or vegetation. "tarian" as in agrarian, (relating to the land) or terrain (of the earth.) So a vegetarian is one who eats foods that are grown from the earth. Mostly this means fruits, vegetables, beans, pulses, grains, etc. Most vegetarian are actually lacto-ovo vegetarians, meaning that they also eat dairy and eggs. However they do not, by definition of the word, eat animals.

You might have better look in the regular food section, or buying a book, or talking to a nutritionist.

  47. QUESTION:
What are some good, healthy diet plans for a VERY FUSSY eater?
My 11 year old sister (Sydney) does not eat very healthy. She mostly eats,
    -potato chips,
-popcorn (lots of butter and salt)
    -ice cream
    -pop tarts

and the only thing she drinks (and I mean, the ONLY thing) is soda.
My mom tries to keep her away from all of the junk food, but she seriously will not eat anything other than the things I listed.
And not buying the sweets is no option, because my father is diabetic, and needs sweets to keep his blood sugar level.
My sister also will not exercise at all. She is not healthy at all, and is made fun of at school for being fat. We made several appointments before to take her to the doctor, but she won't budge when we try to take her. And Syd is too heavy for any of us to carry, because my parents are getting old now (Syd was a total accident, they only wanted one kid)
She is killing herself, and she barely knows it. She doesn't listen to a word we say.
Her and my mother fight so much, it makes me cry all the time, which, is bad for me, because I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I'm not supposed to be under a lot of stress.
My mother has mentioned sending her away somewhere where she can get help, because it is just too much for us all to handle (mainly my parents). I'm 19 and my boyfriend and I are going to be moving out soon (because of the new baby on the way&my 3 year old), and we can't take Syd with us.
I don't know whats wrong with her, because I have always been so healthy and active.
I always did what my parents told me to, and I was raised very well, and I knew my place.
Until I got pregnant at 17.
Sydney is just soo different from me. My parent's didn't do such a good job this time around, probably because of age. My mother was 46 when she had Syd, and my dad was 48.
Like I said, she was an accident.

So, please, help me help my sister.

    1) What are some ways we can try to try to convince her to eat healthier?

    2) What are some healthy foods for a fussy eater?

    Thank you so much.

    • ANSWER:
I'm thirteen and I don't like to eat healthy food either. But I love to eat fruit smoothies, their amazing and healthy. You could try to hide some of the sweets somewhere where she wont find them. You could just get those little packets of sugar to put on your dads food, then stop buying all the crap food. If it comes to it put a lock on the fridge or say she's going to a summer camp..but its secretly a fat camp..she might not notice..anywho good luck :)

    • ANSWER:
MODERATION IS KEY. So are serving sizes.

Peanut Butter can make u fat. 2 spoon fulls is all ur aloud or u'll blow up. its loaded with Calories
get an exersize ball for 20 bucks

DOnt target one area, its pointless. do some Cardio and loose it all.

The fit tv channell (222) can give u some good exersizes, or you can try the On Demand Fitness section and they'll show u how to work ur belly. thats what i do

they'll show u how to dance and everything. why buy dancing videos or take dancing classes when u can get it free on DEMAND>

whatever gets u up off the couch and keeps u moving will help

      AVOID salty peanuts like cashews.

Diets dont work. Eat all low calories and avoid white rice. Switch to whole wheat bread and plain cheerios with weight watchers yogurt. Drink alot of whatever and eat alot of fruit. Avoid "sugar free" and eat fat free. Avoid all juices made with corn syrup. Drink alot of milk. No pop, even diet. Dont eat pizza, burgers and fries (its cooked in grease). Dont eat buttery popcorn and only eat popcorn because u feel like eating and but u dont need to. Dont eat chicken or chicken sandwhiches unless they were "grilled." Eat fish.
      there u go.

Grilled or boiled is the healthiest. Fried and greasy is most hurtful unless its grilled in Olive oil.
Avoid TV dinners and processed foods.

DONT EAT HOTDOGS!! try link sausages. Dont water ur food down in sauces like ketchup. Use less sauce

Eat "i cant believe its not butter", its good stuff

if u buy a McDonald's salad, dont use thier sauce packet. its loaded with fat and salt. Use ur own salad dressing thats less fattening. Order milk or apple juice at mcdonalds and try moderation. If u want a cookie, only eat 2. if u want ice cream, only eat 1 scoop (or just order the ice cream sunday cup at mcdonalds, thats a fair serving size. STOP eatting cones. its too many calories. NO bowls either.), etc. manage ur serving sizes and try to only eat those kindda snacks when ur gonna do some walking or exersize so u'll burn up what u eat.

Thats the reason we're fat, mind you. We eat more than our metabolism can burn up so that extra food gets stored.

Only eat what u can burn up, and then after that just eat popcorn and fruit. Be sure to go for walks to get some cardio in. Any type of cardio will help. Cardio is the only way to exersize and loose weight
p.s.-- if u wanted to eat pizza, you'd have to remove the cheese and meat and only eat the crust so its a waste of money.

Almonds help burn belly fat. eat 28 a day. if u eat more than 28, you'll get fat. almonds have good natural fats and oils the body need and eating 28 of them can make u feel full and replace a meal for u.

Eat sunflower seeds, its the same effect that the plain popcorn has. Chew on those if u just feel like chewing on something. avoid gum, even trident.

use Spenda, Sucralose, or Aspartame in your food and drinks. (it may be nasty at first, but once ur taste buds adjust to it, it'll be DELICIOUS.)
Only eat baked patatoe chips, and Murray's sugar free cookies. eat dry fruit

AVOID CEREAL BARS...they'll make u fatter.
get more home cooked meals, prefferably alot of beans.

Avoid Hi-C. a beverage can make u extremely fat. it can be like eating an extra meal.

      thats my diet, it works

  50. QUESTION:
Can someone pease help me with a HEALTHY diet plan?
Hey! I was wondering if anyone could help me with a GOOD diet plan...I'm not that fat or anything i just eat very unhealthy! So can someone please give me some good tips on how i should be eating? Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
      Marcy
I'm not fat either but I worry about my diet - more a health thing than weight. I am a bit of a snackaholic which leaves me feeling a bit sheepish and guilty a lot of the time even though I've got friends that kill for my body shape. Kind of like being polluted.
Any way getting round to the answer - you've got to look at your daily and weekly routine and work out the points where you're just eating for the sake of it or just out of habit. Then make one change (an improvement obviously) to the routine but reward yourself for doing it by not feeling guilty about anything else you eat. After a while the change you've made will become second nature and you'll be ready to make another little change but take it slow - take months over each step if you need to because the idea is to change patterns of behaviour that have built up over many years.
      Good luck.
